Vice President and Associate General Counsel (Non-Regulated Businesses)

Dat Tran was named vice president and associate general counsel (Non-Regulated Businesses) of AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS) in March 2007. Mr. Tran, who joined AGL Resources in August 2003, is responsible for managing and directing the legal affairs of several business divisions, including Sequent Energy Management and Compass Energy Services.

Mr. Tran has more than 17 years of legal experience in the energy sector, specializing in commodities trading and marketing, mergers and acquisitions and project development. Prior to joining AGL Resources, he was assistant general counsel for CMS Energy. He also has held senior legal and management positions with Duke Energy and Kinder Morgan Inc.

Mr. Tran is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Asian American Bar Association. He serves on the board of directors of Texas EquuSearch and the Asian American Bar Association Foundation of Houston.

Mr. Tran received his law degree, graduate degree in finance and undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut.

He resides in Houston with his wife and three children.
