Vice President, Tax
Grace Kolvereid is Vice President, Tax, at AGL Resources (NYSE:GAS). With 24 years of experience in tax matters, she oversees the company's shared services tax function, and she and her team provide federal, state and international tax compliance, tax planning and tax accounting services to AGL Resources and all of its regulated and unregulated businesses.
Kolvereid joined AGL Resources in 2006 as managing director, Corporate Tax, where she sponsored various tax technology and process improvement initiatives and modernized the company's tax function. Additionally, she led the centralization of the company’s tax function after its merger with Nicor.
Prior to joining the company, Kolvereid held senior level tax positions at Delta Air Lines Inc., where she was responsible for implementing complex federal and state tax planning initiatives as well for international tax matters. She began her career in public accounting in Washington, D.C.
Kolvereid, a certified public accountant, earned a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minor in French from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. She also holds a master of science in taxation from American University in Washington, D.C.
She is a member of the American Gas Association's Tax Committee and of the Tax Executives Institute.
Kolvereid resides in Dunwoody, Ga., with her husband and two children.
