Grace Kolvereid is senior vice president and GAS comptroller at Southern Company Gas. With more than 27 years of experience, she oversees the accounting function for Southern Company Gas, which includes all natural gas utilities, non-utility companies, corporate accounting and risk control.

Kolvereid joined Southern Company Gas in 2006 as managing director of Corporate Tax, where she implemented various tax technology and process improvement initiatives to modernize the company's tax function.

Prior to joining the company, Kolvereid held senior level tax positions at Delta Air Lines Inc. where she was responsible for implementing complex federal and state tax planning initiatives as well as international tax matters. She began her career in public accounting in Washington, D.C.

Kolvereid, a certified public accountant, earned a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minor in French from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. She also holds a master's degree in taxation from American University in Washington, D.C.

She is a member of Southern Company Gas' Leadership, Empowerment, Acceptance, Diversity (LEAD) Council and serves on the finance committee and the board of directors for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. Additionally, she is a member the American Gas Association and of the Tax Executives Institute.

Kolvereid resides in Dunwoody, Ga., with her husband and two children.
