Sequent Energy Management
Kelly Adams was named vice president, Trading East for Sequent Energy Management in December 2011. He is responsible for all marketing activities in the eastern region of the United States. Adams is also responsible for the transport and exchange group for the eastern region and the scheduling group for all regions at Sequent. Sequent is a top-10 marketer of natural gas in the country and a subsidiary of AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS).
Adams joined Sequent Energy Management in May 2007 as vice president of Gulf Coast and Southeast region. Prior to joining the company, Adams was director of Gulf Coast at Oneok Energy Services for seven years. Before that, he handled marketing strategies for KN Energy, which was purchased by Oneok Energy Services. His duties at both companies were similar to his current position with Sequent.
Adams is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where he earned a bachelor of business administration. He also holds a master in business administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Adams lives in Houston with his wife and three daughters.
